These books are the same ones I recommend at my seminars and workshops. They all have something to offer in understanding yourself or how the universe works. All of them have been significant in my own growth and may be of benefit to you, too.
If you know any particularly good books, please email me and tell me what they are so I can check them out.

GRANDFATHER, Tom Brown, Jr. This book is at the top of the list because it's my favorite. It's a collection of true accounts from the life of Stalking Wolf, the Native American Shaman that taught Tom Brown, Jr. much of what he knows. It exemplifies some of the great truths of life. The stories in it were told to Tom Brown, Jr. by Stalking Wolf when Tom was a boy.
DOWSING AS A DAILY TOOL, Robert Gandrup. I wrote this with the intent that someone who didn't know the definition of the word "dowsing" could pick it up and learn how to do it without any other input. You have to practice, but that's true of almost everything. Some of the techniques in it can be applied in your life for other purposes, but the main thrust is pendulum dowsing. You can get a copy from the Ozark Research Institute, 501-582-9197 or the American Society of Dowsers bookstore, 800-711-9497. It's short and to the point, you can read it in a half an hour.
EXCUSE ME YOUR LIFE IS WAITING, Lynn Grabhorn. If you want a good book on how to manifest, this is the one. Where most books tell you what you should do but leave you thinking "That's nice, but how the heck do I accomplish that?", this one tells you how to do it. For those of you who want to fully understand the process of manifesting or want to get even better at it, I recommend Lynn's book highly.
HEAL YOUR BODY, Louise L. Hay. To quote the blurb on the cover, this book is on "The mental causes for physical illness and the metaphysical way to overcome them". That just about sums it up. I believe all physical probems have root causes on the spiritual, mental or emotional level. When I have a physical problem, I look it up and guess what? She's right on. Then I know what issue(s) to address to correct the problem or to keep it from recurring.
QUANTUM CONSCIOUSNESS, Stephen Wolinsky. We spend our entire lives programming automatic responses to situations. This is the way we work, but sometimes those automatic responses don't serve us well. Wolinsky helps you to understand this process and how to deprogram yourself so your life works better. I worked on eliminating the causes of issues for some years using his concepts and got some spectacular results. This is a great book.
THE HOLOGRAPHIC UNIVERSE, Michael Talbot. In this book, Talbot presents one model for the universe that is holographic in nature. He writes about extremely interesting phenomena that support his reasoning. This book is totally fascinating and I found myself reading it late at night. Some of the examples in it are far more entertaining than the best fiction available. The real nature of the universe may be beyond our comprehension, but I feel Talbot's book gets really close to the way things are.
URBAN SHAMAN, Serge Kahili King. There are two types of shamanistic philosophy: the Warrior type and the Adventurer type. The Hawaiian Huna teachings are of the Adventurer type. This is how I prefer to aproach life. King is a Huna Shaman and his book will teach you their methods. The book is well-written and easy to follow. Every couple of pages, he gives you an exercise to prove to yourself the information you just read. This is a highly interesting book full of techniques you can apply in your life.
